Pearl Jam was one of the most influential grunge bands of the 1990s. Pearl Jam emphasized introspective music that highlighted guitar hooks influenced by hard rock. Their album, Vs was released in 1993 and sold approximately 6 million copies in the U.S. Skip to 2006, Pearl Jam released their album titled, Pearl Jam, which did exceptionally well on the charts. Their latest album was released in 2009 and they performed on the premier episode of The Tonight Show With Conan OBrien. The band has made a successful comeback and gains a new and younger fan base as they produce new music.
