Proud Mary began with the idea in mind to bring back the glory days of early Tina Turner. Utilizing songs from Tina's '60's and '70's performances, Mary has expanded the band?s concept, doing a full retrospective of Tina's career. Chantel Steinreich, playing the role of Tina, brings a soulful/gospel flavor that captures Tina?s choreographic power and vocals. The four-piece band that provides the rhythmic backdrop comes from a solid musical foundation. These musicians bring experience from the studio and stage, with each member having performed for over a decade. They ignite the stage with sounds of soul, rock, blues, and pop. The group works with several background singers and dancers who convey style and energy. Together this team is explosive!

Proud Mary has played at such notable venues as The House of Blues (W. Hollywood, CA), BB King's Blues Club (Universal City, CA), The Belly Up Tavern (Solana Beach, CA), and the Orange County Fair (Costa Mesa, CA). The band has worked on the same bill with the well-known tribute acts SUPERDIAMOND and STICKY FINGERS, and performed an opening set for MARY WILSON and the SUPREMES at a private corporate event in Birmingham, Alabama. The members of the band are committed to professionalism and excellence in their work, and their collective goal is to ensure that their audience has a great time. They are available for fairs and festivals, clubs and concerts, private events, and industry showcases.
