Little Sister

LITTLE SISTER is best described as a high-energy variety dance band. Seven members strong, the group features two of the Bay Area's premier male and female up-front vocalists. Backed by an all-star rhythm section, LITTLE SISTER delivers the "Goods" vocally, musically and visually. The live show is warm and friendly with an emphasis on making the guests feel comfortable and part of the festivities.

LITTLE SISTER is a “flex” band. This means the band is capable of performing with anywhere from six to ten musicians and singers. For instance, the band can ramp up to a horn-powered eight or nine member powerhouse with the addition of trumpet and trombone to our regular sax player. If space or budget is a consideration, LITTLE SISTER offers a streamlined six-piece unit, sans sax. If hosting a special event, consider incorporating our LITTLE SISTER Dancers for a high-octane visual treat. (Please note that the casual nine member photo shows an expanded version of the band. The formal tuxedo seven member photo portrays our normal line-up.)

Over the years, LITTLE SISTER has amassed an extensive repertoire of classic dance tunes. Covering popular material from the 40's to current chart topping hits. The songs are guaranteed to pack the dance floor. Many will be familiar, while some are overlooked gems.

Versatility being the key, LITTLE SISTER skillfully performs many styles, including soul, swing, R&B, Motown, rock, disco, blues, funk and standards. Material and presentation are tailored to each individual event.

Making the Wedding Reception Memorable, March 6, 2006

For my daughter's wedding, my wife and I set a budget. She and her husband were careful to stay in the budget, and in the end planned a DJ. But I Dad wanted a band, so we hired Little Sister (they did have Sweet Home Alabama on their playlist, and with more time were willing to do FreeBird, but that's another story). The performance was, simply, outstanding. Vocals were great, guitar was superb. Eighteen months later, when I see anyone anywhere that was at the event (Ruby Hill Golf Club), they say "Wow, the receptionwas great, but that band, Little Sister, made the event! You will not be disappointed.
